WHAT TO EXPECT
We will greet you at the door with a friendly smile. Our greeters will gladly direct you and your kids to the correct classroom, or to the auditorium for the worship service.
We offer classrooms for kids of all ages. Our teachers and staff will care for and serve your kids with love.
We have worship services designed for you! You will hear a message from the Bible that offers both a careful handling of the biblical text and a meaningful application to your present life situation. Our worship music complements the message. Our desire is that God is honored through the message, music, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
OUR MISSION
Our mission at Bible Baptist is first to direct our love to God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind, and second to love the community as our neighbor. Jesus says, “These are the two greatest commandments.”
OUR LEADERSHIP
Dr. Wayne Slusser (Pastor’s website)
Pastor Wayne was born and reared in Northeast Ohio. He received a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oklahoma (1991). While working in Ohio, he met his wife, Melissa, and they were married in 1993. It was in 1996 that God ordered Pastor Wayne’s steps to attend Bible college, and he surrendered to full-time ministry.
He graduated with his M.Div. in 2001 and was asked to be on faculty at Baptist Bible College & Theological Seminary, Springfield, MO for 14 years (2001-2015). He also received his PhD in New Testament & Greek (2012) and was the co-pastor (2001-2015) of a team church plant in Ozark, MO.
God moved Wayne and his family to Baptist Bible Seminary, Clarks Summit University to teach, coach soccer, and assume the role of Seminary Dean (2015-2024). Since September of 2024, Pastor Wayne has been leading us with solid teaching from God’s Word, a heart for the growth of the church, and a desire for the family’s walk to be worthy of the gospel.
Pastor Wayne and his wife, Melissa, have two sons (Jack and Nick).
